I am inspired every day by my students, their willingness to learn, and their energy. Being able to walk into a classroom where children express their unconditional love for one another and myself is truly rewarding. The reason I decided to devote my future as an educator in the classroom is not only because I love children, but also because I love the feeling of accomplishment and success. Seeing that light bulb click with students on a specific topic or skill they have acquired in the classroom is unlike any feeling. It is my goal to make an impact on someone’s life, even if it is the tiniest, positive influence.
I am inspired by my family. I have seen how hard my parents work so that I may become the best individual I can be. It is their hard work and success that has allowed me to come to Butler University and experience my journey. I am forever grateful for my parents and I can only hope to be half the people they are. My siblings have taught me innumerable lessons over the past 21 years that I cannot thank them enough. Living with three other brothers and sisters brought its challenges; however, the unconditional love I have for them is irreplaceable. As a middle child, I was often the peacemaker of the family. I avoided drama, petty fights, and was the sibling that anyone could fall back on. They inspire me to extend my love and passion to those I meet. As a future educator to children, I strive to show them the joy in learning! |
